Stem cells are processed from your dog’s own fat tissue that is surgically extracted from its belly. We process that fat and extract the stem cells right here in our on-site lab. If your pet is not a good surgical candidate for fat retrieval, then we can use Allogenic Stem cells which have been derived from a donor dog and are readily accepted by your dog’s body.
In addition, we are able to freeze and store your dog’s stem cells for later use. If your dog is undergoing a surgical procedure at our hospital, such as a spay, neuter, or other invasive surgery, we can extract the fat, at that time, and the stem cells can then be frozen and stored for later use. A frozen stem cell sample can yield up to twenty (20) stem cell applications.
